Basically, yes, it is all about me. That is what this blog is intended for. For me to write, and write and write and write and post silly photos and phots I love and thoughts I have and ideas that come to me and what ever else takes my fancy. So if you are reading this and you are not me, then beware! There will be raw and unadulterated bits of my soul in here and rather than be offended by them, perhaps you could feel honoured that you are one of the few people who gets to know the real spark that conceived me, that is me, that allows me to live and breath in this rather pudgy human form.
The Begining of my Journal Journey
It is said that ‘every journey begins with a single step’. Well, if that is so then it must also be said that every journal begins with a single word – and mine is I, or ME, depending on my mood!
Not About Me
I find myself born into and living within a family and community of incredibly talented individuals.
My husband has spent many years telling the stories of others through the lenses of news, documentary and film cameras, has built and renovated houses, businesses and lives and continually reinvents himself to be an inspiring and entertaining father to our two young children. He carries our world on his shoulders and I am truly blessed to be along for the ride.
Both my mother and sister hit the jackpot when it came to the 'creative' gene (I guess being a bit of a pipsqueak I must have fallen down a crack in the floor when this was handed out). With luck though it would seem that my recessive chromosomes jumped up to get a run in the capable hands of my daughter. Between them they have enjoyed almost every craft known to wo/man and all have their own 'creative space' within their respective homes (yes, my 5 year old has her own 'craft cupboard', which she rules with fierce independence!). I often tag-along when the creative juices flow, but it would appear that these things aren't learned through sheer osmosis and somehow my end product leaves a little to be desired - but hey, it's all about the journey, isn't it?
Here's an A-Z list of JUST SOME the crafty things the ‘other women’ in my family do.
